Dark brown blood with clots

Without being too graphic I have been on the pill (cerazelle) for 5 years take a year due to health problems and being anorexic I have then had 3 periods the last one was 4 months ago and iv had no spotting or anything. Now for the last 3 weeks iv had dark brown discharge and a lot of clots but it varies I could wipe and there'll be nothing then go 2 hours later and the tissues covered. Iv had 1 bowt of period pain at the start but a lot of pain in the top and middle of my stomach.

Could this just be the lining clearing itself from the 4 months or has anyone else had this experience and got answers? I have a doc appointment next week but just want some info if anyone's had this before?
