Hi hun. Only you know if you are capable of lifting. Do be careful though cos all you need is a small foot kicking your stomach for you to set back your recovery.
Are you getting SSP?
Claire
No claire. Not getting ssp as hospital did not give me a sick note
I had my lap on the same date, I'm still bruised and sore. When I do too much I find I'm in pain, try going for a walk and see how you feel afterwards if your tired and need to rest then you aren't ready to return.
Definitely look into ssp, your gp can give you a sicknote I just rang and got another a week after my surgery and they've said to just ring next week to ask for another if required. I had endo removed.
Just because it's non invasive doesn't mean it's not major surgery. If you do return take it easy.
or you could go back see how you get on. (only saying that as you mentioned no pay atm)if you feel its too much go docs get a sicknote. just tell doc you need longer rrecovery even if its one week.
how long was it before you were up outta bed and walking around?
I have mine Fri before xmas and trying gage if ill b bed ridden after a week or not xxx
Hi I had endo removed on 16th October and dye test completed and I was given 2 weeks off to rest. You have to go to the doctors to get the sick note. I feel ready to go back now but I wouldn't pick anything up too soon.
I had my first lap on a Wednesday and they took out stage 3 endo and my appendix. I went back to work the following Monday. I didn't start lifting heavy stuff until 3 weeks after my procedure just to be safe. I work in healthcare so that meant patients. If I were you, I would hold off bending lifting twisting for about 2-3 weeks.
