Thinking of you & I hope someone can post some inspiration for us! xx

Hi there – so sorry to hear how much pain you’re in. I completely sympathise, as I am very much in the same boat, and struggle to find anything that helps. The only painkillers that work for me at all are nurofen plus every 4-6 hours, alternated in between with paracetamol/anadin extra (they can be mixed). I also find hot water bottles a blessing, and the only thing that REALLY helps. Am at my desk today (dragged myself in) with a hot water bottle :-/ Finally, I was doing some research last week, and apparently a herbal remedy called Bark Cramp really works – I have just ordered some, people online are raving about it. I had never heard if it before, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a go. Message me if you’d like some links, maybe we could both see if it helps us for next month?!

There is an acupressure point called "Large Intestine 4" you should find pictures on the internet but it is on the back of the hand on the between the thumb and first finger. If you push around in there, you'll soon find it because it will be tender if you're in pain. I use the thumb from the other hand to press it or rub it. It can be used for any pain or stress but is particularly good for period pain or labour pain. Because it helps move things in that area it should never be used whilst pregnant.

Have you ever tried a cold compress instead? It is a bit unpleasant but worth a try. I remember it helped when I was desperate a few years ago. Heat never helped me...
