Still bleeding after 4 months on prostap....

Hi,

I have for 3 years been bleeding constantly everyday, and in the last year severe pelvic pain. No pills or coils have helped. After a laparoscopy that found adhesions, and then no change in my symptoms I was put on prostap.

This has made a small improvement but not as expected. In the last week my bleeding has got heavier and the pain worse. The doctor said it is very unusual and wrong to be still bleeding Whilst on prostap this long and so I am worried. And that I may need another laparoscopy and as a last resort a hysterectomy.

Any advice? I am getting so scared this will never end. I am 21 so a hysterectomy is not a choice I want to make.

Thank you, Liz

This medication doesnt seem to work for you, did you go back to your gp again to discuss what other options there are? Or have you referred to gynacologist?

I can completely understand that you dont want surgery to have everything removed. It must be really hard for you to go through this.

I hope things will get sorted!!
