Coil related question. Sorry tmi...

I had the coil put in a week and a half ago when I had my lap. Since then I've spotted which I didn't think too much of. Then for the last 4 days I've had more like a period bleed and a few tiny jelly like clots which I normal for me but I just went to the toilet and there I a largish clot (about 1.5" by 0.5") but its really solid. A red/black colour but almost fleshy texture. It was almost like a triangle shape like a strip of something had been pulled off (eurgh). Not blobby shaped like normal. I've rung the doctor and I'm waiting for a call back but they said there's a long waiting list so it could be tomorrow. Has anyone else had this? Sorry for the graphic details but I couldn't think how else to describe it! Xx

Yep, I have. A lot bigger though, really freaked me out but just assumed it must be due to the fitting itself.

Yes I had similar. I went back to see my consultant and I had an infection from my laparoscopy and was nothing to do with the coil I had fitted. If it doesn't subside after 10-12 days go back and see your GP x

Sounds like that could have been your coil falling out sometimes it does that it comes out along with your period and you do not notice x

Well it's not my coil because I just checked and its still there. No more clots since but I still seem to have a heavier bleed more like a period. I finally got a call back from the doctor and she said to keep an eye on it but not to worry too much unless I start showing any symptoms of infection. Lyd54321 - did you have any other symptoms? I feel ok otherwise apart from period type cramps but nothing out of the ordinary. x
