Hi ladies, only my second post on here but I find this group so useful, reading each other's experiences and the advice and support in reply posts.
My experience is so confusing for me. I had a salpingectomy ( removal of left Fallopian tube) due to hydrosalphix ( filled with toxic fluid!) by laparoscopy at the end of Jan. I have found it difficult to concieve a second child for a few years which led me to a fertility specialist. After a few tests- including the HSG- they discovered that my tube was swollen and filled with this fluid- which was literally toxic to pregnancy and as a result I had two miscarriages.
Historically, although I did not put all this together- I have suffered with awful periods- bleeding for three weeks at a time, heavy ( to the point of flooding through my day and night wear) and incredibly painful. I've suffered with joint (hip mainly) and back problems for years and pain when going to the loo.
The lap, also discovered that I had endometriosis and some scarr tissue. Apparently it was in a place that the surgeone didn't feel ok about burning it away- too much of a risk to organs etc. I should mention that I paid privately for the opp as the waiting list in Nhs was over a year!
Since the op ( over the last 4 months) I have experienced a world of pain on my right side. I've now had six lots of a anti biotics for one reason and another and was told that I had a hematoma 7 weeks after the op- and that was the reason for the acute pain.
However, I'm four months on and still have pain. I'm not sure what this is? It scares me as some days I think it's gone a bit better and then I try to do normal things like drive, use the Hoover and I don't half suffer for it. The pain although not now constant seems to be located near my belly button but also under my ribs and around the back- it also seems to get worse at certain times in the monthly cycle?
Has anyone had any experiences like mine? Had anyone got any words of wisdom for me? I want an MRI scan to get to the bottom of what is going on- but everything is such a fight isn't it with doctors/ consultants.
Thanks for reading. Sorry it was so long- but it made me feel so much better just getting it all down.
Xx
