I'm 12 days post op and don't feel like I'm getting anywhere, I feel so done in and achy I tried doing myself some lunch today and ended up feeling pretty shaky and faint. Is this pretty normal still even though it'll soon be 2 weeks since my op?

I had my first laparoscopy nearly 7 weeks ago and I would say yes it is normal it took 2 weeks before I started to feel better and I depends on what they has to remove during your lap.
They told me to do small walks round the house and slowly build it up.
It all depends on extent of work and you individually. I had extensive endo and 2 hr op. Doc said 6 weeks til fatigue improves and can be 4-6 months to really feel benefits.
Be kind to yourself, take it easy and normal for recovery to go in steps, not improvement every day.
That's what I've been trying mummy1982 and have managed a walk round the block once. But haven't been as good since.
I was in surgery for around 90 minutes and had it removed from the ovaries, uterus and womb areas. I've been signed off for 3 weeks. Think I need more patience lol was hoping to be a lot more active by now
Thank you for replying xxx
Go easy and only do what you feel you can don't push it too much or you'll set yourself back. Everyone is different with recovery times so listen to your body. It took me 6 weeks to start being properly mobile. Going back to work I did at 7 weeks which was really tough and it's only the last week (over 10 weeks post op) that I've started to feel myself again although I wouldn't say I'm back to where I was yet as I still tire more easily than before. Good luck with it all. I know it's tough but be patient with yourself! Take care. xxxx
Yeah I'm definitely realising I need to listen to my body I still feel so worn out have already had a sleep this morning. I'm due back to work Friday next week and atm really can't see that happening
