I am currently taking the contraceptive pill for my heavy and painful bleeding. I have a 7 day break on this pill, but lately I seem to be having a breakthrough. I have irregular periods anyway but this is getting ridiculous, im having 2 periods a month
Does anyone else have the same?

Yep, I started getting two periods a month when i went on the implant. I swapped from the implant to the mini pill (i take it all the time no break) and it made me bleed for 5-6 weeks non stop. Now, i was getting one period a month until last month where i got two again, now i'm on my second period this month aswell!! I know it's not a cure, but i know periods twice monthly can be really depressing! I buy something called pink parcel, it's a subscription service and they send you out a box every month with all your essentials in and some lovley little treats for yourself too, this really cheers me up during these periods, so i would recommend it to anyone! I really hope you feel better soon hun xx
Hi bernie93 thanks for your reply! I was the exact opposite on the implant funnily enough, i had my implant taken out about 2 years ago. I very rarely saw a period when I was on the implant, but pain was still a big problem! It's horrible isn't it?! I know how you feel, but im just so glad we all got eachother on here!
Oooh that sound fabulous! I will definitely have a look at that now, if it makes me feel any better than I have been lately I would happily pay the 10 pound a month!
It really is great, you get some good bits and bobs in there too! Yes this website is fantastic, i found it by accident one night when i was sat up all night with pain, and if i hadn't found it, i don't know what i would do now, because I'm going in for a lap next Tuesday and i was terrified, until i spoke to the other women on here, they're all so supportive xxx
I am on loestrin Lindle. I've been on this pill for about 5 months. I was tricycling the cerazette pill before this for a few months. And had the implant before that. (I have had breaks before changing contraceptives). I'd definitely say the pill im on now (loestrin) has helped reduced the heaviness, but I don't think it's helped with pain.
