Oh poor you. That's makes me feel really scared I have recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. They removed the Endometriosis but the consultant said if pain wasn't better would have to consider hysterectomy and the way she made is sound was like the pain would be gone x

It really depends what your pain is being caused by. I had planned a hysterectomy in 2012 and it couldn't go ahead because my uterus was fused to my bowel but I had my ovaries removed and am in menopause. I did great for a while but my main problem is adhesions and the issues they cause with my bowel. It feels just like my endo pain. I would go back to your gynae and discuss options, they may do an MRI and see what else is going on in there, it could be adhesions pulling at your other pelvic organs which they may be able to divide and give you some relief.

Just out of interest are you taking HRT?

Hi all. I had a total hysterectomy in 2010 and was feeling great for a few mth then had a hrt implant which made me feel dreadful. All the same old pain, thigh pain etc , tried various hrt after the implant wore off but intense pain still. Now not on hrt but pain both sides of abdomen and huge bowel pain due to possible adhesions from many ops. Was hoping for a better life but just as bad but minus periods for twenty days to six mth at a time. Still have bleeds from bowel tho. Just sometimes wish I had never had a hysterectomy. Breastfeeding pain subsided after I stopped hrt but thigh pain remains.

Think a lot of the pain and bowel issues are from adhesions so I've been told but I don't think anyone really knows if all endo has been removed. Sigh

Gawd predictive txt with joint pain equals gobbledegook. Meant breast pain. Deffo not breastfeeding!
