My period this month is lasting twice as long than it usually does and is twice as painful! Tonight i went to change my pad and a massive clot was on it, like HUGE! Is this normal? I'm really worried about it! I've never had one as big as that before, sorry if TMI.

Hello.
Could there be any possibility that you were pregnant?
It's probably worth contacting your gp/gyne to discuss what's been going on?

Hi Bernie
It is quite frightening to see and if you are at all worried then go and see your doctor for reassurance. If it helps at my worst I was passing large clots too that were uncomfortable to pass. Take care

I know how you feel hun. It's my 2nd period after my lap, where they removed endometriosis,a paratubal cyst and my bowel was stuck to adhesions.I've been in agony and had a clot the size of a tennis ball and the most awful stabbing pain in the right side of my groin. They have brought my gynae appointment forward to June from September because of big clots and pain. Might be worth going to the doctors or trying to get your gynae appointment earlier. Hope you get some relief x x
