Pain relief???

Morning ladies,

I would like to know what pain relief you have tried??? What works but also what you've been prescribed that hasn't!!

Hiya, I'm on morphine solphat atm, 12 hour release 20mg morning and night, I can't say it takes the pain away but it's defo the best thing I've had,

Tried tramadol and cocodramal both of which did more to my head and bowel than the pain, other the counter tabs do do a thing, although I do take paracetamol with my morphine when really bad,

Thanks Tracey, I've also tried tramadol but as you say doesn't help much with the pain. Is the morphine your on liquid,patches or pills xx

Hi there - Like many here I have tried tramadol without success... I am now on a long acting dose of hydromorphone (twice a day) as well as a fast acting dose that is taken as needed.... it makes things a lot more managable... but then, so does adding wine.

Hi I've also tried cocodamol, tramadol can take the edge of the pain at times, but when tramadol don't help I've been taking pethadine.
