Pain relief.

I have really bad pain from endo and was wondering what you lovely people use to releive the pain.

I have a reallyactive job and I have just bought a bunch of heat patches that attach to my skin. I have used them before but had to stop as they kept blistering my tummy.

I find that codeine helps a little but nothing can beat a hot water bottle. But I can't take that to work with me.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I have a TENS machine which helps with the pain. You can move around with them on too.

I use prescribed painkillers but find they make me dizzy. I also use a heat blanket when I am not on the go.

People on here talk about the endo diet which is supposed to help relieve the pain. I have not tried this though as I love food too much haha.

I  have had physio (as I suffer with back pain), which seems to help for a while. I am going to try acupuncture as well.

Hey, I use over the counter codeine and ibuprofen for a max of 3 days using the max dose and with paracetamol for the hot flushes. Hot water hotties are miracle workers!! Those heat patches are great but I wear them on top of my tights and under my skirt / trousers When I'm at work to avoid the skin blistering. I sometimes wear high waisted knickers too for the same reason (attractive!). Take care. X

I've just been prescribed codeine alone 30mg 4 times a day! i'll be off my head and hopefully pain free for a while until it dies down x

Before I had the mirena coil fitted I was dosing myself up on codeine pretty much everyday. Since I have had the coil fitted I have experienced NO endo pain, I used to get it daily especially on my right side. If you haven't had the coil fitted and don't want children yet then I would recommend it! Other than that I do find that being on a gluten free diet really helps. And not drinking too much coffee and eating too much dairy, so basically the endo diet x

What stage of endo did you have? X

I was never actually told a stage but I think stage 1. I would get a lot of pain though, really suffered with it on a day to day basis. In 10 years the only time I have noticed a good difference is now being on the coil x

Hello

There are heat pads that you can put right on skin - check boots it will say on the front of them or else wear a long vest top under your clothes new look does them and stick your heat pad on it 🙂
