Hi. I have free fluid in the uterus. This is caused by endo.

What are your symptoms please?

Well my endo was all over my pelvis, around my liver, and gall bladder, bowel and bladder until I had total peritoneal excision to remove it all. Prior to the surgery i had pain prior to and during my period to a point where i could not walk very well, pain around ovulation time. I had really bad fatigue, difficulty conceiving, pain during sex, opening my bowels and difficulty emptying my bladder. Out of them its difficult to say which stems from the free fluid. x

Was it picked up on ultrasound?? Nothing was mentioned when I got my results other than thickend uterus lining and fluid that shouldn't be there I've also got a swollen belly and my face keeps swelling up x

It was. Endo is not picked up well via ultrasound. When i had an ultrasound it didn't pick up any endo, even though i had stage 4! x

I had a laparoscopy operation. X

And that found the endo? What results did you get from your ultrasound please?

Yes they found the endo in the laparoscopy operation and I got my diagnosis then. The ultrasound only showed free fluid in the uterus. X

Thank you so much you are such a lovely person it really held to find someone who can relate to some of my symptoms it's such a worrying time. I am 39 I have had my kids I would have a hysterectomy tomorrow if it would take the pain away. I can not believe how 6 weeks ago I was fine other than painful heavy periods. Xx

Hey, it's a pleasure. That was how I started when I was 18. I'm now 40. It started with a very heavy period that didn't stop for three months with lots of pain completely out of the blue. I know how worrying it can be as you just want to know. what have the doctors said about your ultrasound are they planning on doing any more investigations? Xx
