Hi ladies, has anybody recently undergone laparoscopic surgery of endometriosis at UCLH on Saturday? Just received phone call from hospital and was offered Saturday slot. I have endometriomas on both ovaries, am I silly to be worried about operation at the weekend? Thanks

Anybody operated on Saturday at UCHL?
How strange ive also just got appointment date through for a sat, I'm in Southend Essex, I thought it was odd, but am assured it normal, mines 21 St March, first lap to confirm endo or adenomyosis, good luck with yours xx
Hey I had my lap at UCHL a few Saturdays ago, I thought they gave me the wrong date but they're doing Saturday appointments to try to stop/clear backlogs and long waiting times. I wouldn't get there too early, everyone for surgery that day has to arrive at 7am and you can be called in at any time (I was called to theater at 4pm). Make sure you have plenty of things to read/music to listen too and wear comfy clothes so you can relax. You don't have to wait in the reception area, but they do have an area with comfy chairs, magazines and a TV so you're not too bored while waiting. I liked having mine done on a Saturday as there wasn't a lot of people in the reception waiting area or around the hospital, so the nurses aren't rushing around and it's nice and quiet.
Good luck for your operation, I hope it goes well for you. The nurses and staff are lovely at the surgery reception and can help you with any concerns or worries you have on the day! x
Thank you very much all who replied! I do appreciate your support and tips on how to get through the day!
I've got mine next sat too. Seems to be the norm these days!
