Hello- 1st time on here but diagnosed for 13 years!
I hoped people might be able to help? My Drs are suggesting Anastrazole or Zoladex- have done Zoladex already for 12 months 10 years ago and very reluctant to go on it again as side effects were pretty unbearable- has anyone used Anastrazole? How was it?
Amy my Fiancee who has Endo had 3 cycles of Zoladex swell about 2 years ago, she still has some of the side effects so would stay away from that especially if you had a hard time the first time round! The name Anastrozole doesn't ring any bells so don't have any thoughts on it I'm afraid.
Hi i have used anastrozole and letrozole. They are aramatase inhibitors, in other words they block the production of estrogen by about 97%. They were my wonder drug but they do cause some horrid side effects. Bone aches which you should take vit d, calcium and another over the counter suppliment. These tablets should be used for no longer than 6 months because they will cause none reversable bone density, but short term i would definitely say they are worth a shot as they do eventually releive a lot of pain, well they did for me anyhow but I did still have symptoms. But not to experience that horrific pain everyday was a nice break. X
