Hi there, it depends on a few things , firstly what stage your endo is, it ranges from one to four, four being the most severe , secondly it depends where it is and it could be anywhere in your pelvic area, from the bladder, to your bowel , ovaries , pelvic walls and so on. Unfortunately a lot of ladies arnt told much and are left confused. Firstly I would contact your gyne/ consultant and discuss the finding and what is going to happen next , to just say it's significant and nothing else is completley unfair. You will need to discuss your options, and the best treatment is to have a lap and excision of the endo at the same time , it varies for everyone and it also isn't possible for everyone to have it removed, but it definatley shouldn't just be left, get onto your gyne and persist. It can be difficult and worrying, I'm only 20 ive had mine removed , don't worry too much just yet but definatley make an appointment x
Thankyou! Yeah I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago and just feel like i havent been told anything but with them saying significant it must be a high stage x
Unfortunately it's often the case , it depends I suppose on each doctors opinion of significant, is it significant as lots of small bits in many places or just a few places with big bits, and whichever one then depends what stage you will be in hopefully you will get your answers soon Goodluck x
