Hi, I understand how you feel, in fact I'm sure a lot of us do on here. It's very upsetting and frustrating and debilatating. Cave you had a laparoscopy to be diagnosed? unfortunately many doctors are rubbish at diagnosing and supporting people with Endo (sorry for the generalisation!) first thing is to find a good gp and a good gynaecologist. Do you have friends and family for support? It's difficult for those who don't have it to fully understand but helps greatly to have people even to just talk to or cry with. I know it's hard but try not to despair and focus on finding the right treatment for you to manage this condition. Ive personally found the coil is the best (though not perfect) option for me after many operations and various treatment but everyone is different. We are all here when you need advice or just rant or talk. Take care of yourself x
Hi there, I am so sorry you are being passed around and not finding any relief. Try and go steady with the Codéine, firstly it can cause constipation which can in turn make the pain worse, I also find it causes my mood to drop if I take it for more than a few days? I find Yoga good for easing pain even if I can only manage to sit in easy pose. I have found good advice from Helen Kaselov at yoga for endometriosis. It helps sometimes just to feel that you can help yourself a little bit I find, even if it is not a comlete solution until you can find the right doctor. You will find helen in Endoyoga.com and she does yoga consultations by Skype. She is lovely and very supportive. Endo tends to make us curl up in pain and forget to breath properly. I hope you find help soon. Big hugs
Jen xx
Hi,
I had the same experience with the doctors, under same subject: so what you have history you are to young. You need to request a scan for your pelvis. If they find anything is to do a follow up one in six week if there is anything there in this time is definitively you have one. Is your right to be seen either make a complain or try changing your GP.
I have learned to cope with the pain with no pills, I hate codeine, the moods are unbearable I choose the pain. Have your hot bottle, or hot bath tubs, try to find our which pain killer mild it such as Panadol Ibubrofen or Nurofen but try to give out codeine as it will cause you more problems.
I have a teddy bear I warm in the microwave and works better than the hot bother and drink green tea for constipation to easy out the pressure. I do not respond to laxatives but to be honest again is not good to be dependent of these pills. Pain has to become your friend somehow.
I hope you will be able to see different doctors.
Alina
I'm 20 and on codeine for the pain while I wait for surgery, but I'm going back as codeine simply tires me out, doesn't actually do much for my symptoms, so I'm intending to get stronger painkillers and try and be bumped up the list for surgery. There aren't always a lot of options and there's a heck of a lot of waiting to do but just be patient and persistent with changing doctors xx
