Hi ladies, have any of you made the dietary changes that some websites recommend? Such as less red meat less dairy products. only eat wholemeal wheats? How many found this to help reduce symptoms at all? Also is there any multivitamins you could recommend please. Thank you in advance x

Dietary changes
I gave up red meat about six weeks ago and since then have lost weight and the bloating has reduced. I've also found reducing my coffee intake has helped. I've not eaten much diary or wheat for a long time. I've been having lots of homemade veg soups, green tea, goats yoghurt, trying to cook from scratch. Just wish I could give up the red wine and chocolate too! I've also stopped all cleaning products over to eco ones and am trying to replace beauty products to more natural paraben free ones. I definitely think there's a connection between it all.
Yesterday was 6 weeks since my specialist advised me to cut wheat out of my diet. She also advised me to avoid codeine and drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day and exercise more also to have porridge every morning as I never used to have breakfast. Her advice was brilliant, she said you know you have a chronic condition and you know that I can't cure you, but you can make changes yourself to reduce your symptoms and improve your overall health, immune system and energy levels. it really struck a cord with me & although my last cycle was still horrible, between the pains I feel better within myself and pain whilst passing stools have almost gone completely. I'm going to stick with the wheat free diet (I don't have much dairy or red meat anyway) and increase my exercise as I feel positive about taking back a little control from this horrible condition.
Like bexter73 I also only use Eco/natural cleaning products and also try to get organic fruit veg and meat. Endobegone is also right, different foods affect people differently, so if you didn't want to completely eliminate things from your diet, a food diary with symptoms etc might help you identify what foods trigger what symptoms.
Best of luck
