how long have you been waiting?

The average length of time for periods to return after GnRH is 6 months. It can be a lot quicker and it can be a lot longer.

You do need to carry on with the safe sex for the 4 months from the last dose date, as traces of the drug remain in the body and may affect a pregnancy.

12 weeks is the recommended wait after the final month's dose is over because of the risks.

After that it is down to how quickly you own body can reboot the pituitary gland back in to producing the sex hormones that trigger ovulation and periods and it's anyone's guess how long it takes.

Thank you for your reply. I'm aware of the averages was just looking to hear about some peoples personal experiences! I am only 5 weeks past the injection finishing so I know I might still be waiting a while. I just had my coil taken out last week too xxx
