Decapeptyl

Just wondering if anybody has been given these injections for endametriosis.

Any tips on what 2 expect.

Any suggestions as to what could help me through it.

I have been on them for 4 months now and they have changed my life haven’t had any bleeding or any pain only down side is the menopause side affects but now on HRT for the hot flashes but will take the hot flashes over the pain of endometriosis any day everyone’s body is different I found they helped me from the first one got my first hot flash the next day

I’m due to have my first injection tomorrow. I’ve been given Tibolone to take along side it (similar to HRT I think). It’s hard to find any real advice about it but pleased to hear Orla35 has had a good experience

I just got tibolone last week and so far so good I found a lady’s YouTube video about her experience helpful called fightingfaith give her videos a watch and good luck tomorrow

How did u get on with your first injection any side affects yet hope it went well

Ok, so I had to pick up the injection from the pharmacy myself and had a couple of hours before the appointment so I sat and read the inlay about the side effects. Holy crap. There are som many side effects! As a rheumatoid arthritis sufferer it is likely this drug may cause me a big flare up. I ended up in tears when I saw the nurse and we decided I need to get more information before I go ahead with it. So basically no Decapeptyl for me just yet.

I have never been tried on the Depo Provera injection so I may try that first. My Endo symptoms have improved since my laparoscopy in a December last year but I know it will come back badly as apparently it’s in the muscle wall. I need to do something but the inlay for Decapeptyl scared the crap out of me.

Thanks ladies. Please keep us updated on how your injections go. I went to my dr yesterday for infi needless to say i got no helo. Il look into tibolone thank you

I had my 1st injection yesterday so fingers and toes crossed il be pain free i had my laparoscopy nearly a month ago and i have 2 say iv been in more pain since. My lower back and like menstrual pain. They did also put the marina in so this could also be the reason for this. Just waiting on a pain free day 😀

No i dont think so. Im at bit moody but other than that i feel ok. Due my 2nd 1 nxt week. Fingers crossed
