Haven't been formally diagnosed with endo but have my lap in October... Been in constant pain ever since the GP put me on cerazette... But always had bad periods and pains from when I started at 11. (I'm 19 now)

My GP also found a cervical ectropion, I dunno if anyone else has this - I don't think it is related to endo... No one is really talking to me about anything and I'm stressing out a lot.

I've noticed my mental health has been deteriorating as I have been doing less and less because the pain stops me from doing my normal things like sport and work and studying etc.

I'm gonna mention it to the doc next week. But I'm not sure if it's the hormones as well that are making me feel this way.

Also what pain meds work best for people? I realise that pain meds are personal... I'm on diclofenac and cocodamol at the moment and it doesn't really touch it...

I'm so nervous about the lap. :(

Hey, ive recently turned 18 and I was diagnosed with endo at the end of march (17) through a lap. I have been diagnoised with stage 4 and it's been such a hard road already! For pain im on napraxen & cocodomal but I try to stick it out with normal iburpofen so my body doesnt get used to the painkillers. My mental health has also taken a turn as well as my life, I was planning to go away to uni but im not anymore purely because I need the support of my family. I have been a play leader for special need children but recently the pain has been unbearable so I haven't been able to work and been to a&e and put on a drip. A lot of my relationships have suffered, lost a lot friends as they dont understand as well as a strain on my personal life. Ive been on fluoxitine but I have decided to stop taking them. It's an emotional rollercoaster for any woman, especially when were trying to set up our whole lives. There may be some decisions you'll have to make but you will get through it all. You will learn what is important to you and what makes you happy. It has completely changed my life, im not a typical 18 year old at all and I doubt I ever will be. People will get on your nerves, they wont understand and at times you will be extremely upset and angry because you just want to be 'fixed'. In terms of lap, the worst part is the gas pain in your shoulders. The actual pain in your stomach isn't actually that bad compared to what we have to go through normally!

You are strong, you may have to go through horrible, horrible times but we're all here for you! If you ever need to talk to someone, my message bit is always open and if it would help to text someone who understands what you're going through then I will happily do that :)

Really do wish you all the best, need anything? Ask :)xx
