After fighting for almost 2 years i finally got my lap done ( ouch!) and i have stage 2. I went through 4 doctors to finally get the right diagnosis. I might also have a dodgy thyroid and pcos ( symptoms but no positive tests). I put on weight and lost hair after coming off yasmin but never thought i had endo...ever. I'm meant to go on the fake menopause injections but I'm worried about the side effects. Will i lose more hair ( I'm rather attached to what i have left lol) and will i get sick. I'm meant to start a new job and go to glastonbury festival in june. Its affecting my.bladder but i can live with it for now. What are others experiences? Feeling a little lost, sorry about the rant.

Hi, your story is similar to mine - Ive always had painful periods and been fobbed off for years, then when the pains continued either side of my periods, it took about 2 years to get to the laparoscopy stage, when I was diagnosed stage 4. I had a course of injections (prostap) before I was diagnosed, I didnt take HRT and the side effects I had were depression, insomnia and hot flushes. Post-lap (feb 2014) I was put on another course of Prostap, after I told the gynae about my concerns about side effects, she prescribed Livial HRT. I am near the end of my 1st 3-monthly injection and have not had the side effects like before. Personally, I find the injections stop my pains and periods and let me have a fairly 'normal' life. If you go ahead, try the monthly injection first, that way if it drastically disagrees with you, it will wear off sooner. Reading the posts on here, everyone seems to react differently to injections, so you may not have any problems, or you may have really bad side effects. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to try it. Is this the only treatment you have been offered, as there are others available eg Mirena coil, different Pills or more surgery. With Endo, it is all very trial and error as to what will work best for you!
