My gynaecologist said I was pretty young for my op, I was wondering if anyone had had similar experiences? Especially as it's exam time at uni at the minute :S
I'm 20 and my first laparoscopy is on Mon... - Endometriosis UK
I'm 20 and my first laparoscopy is on Monday - anyone have any tips??? Feeling pretty nervous...!
Hey. I'm 22 and had my lap in November. You'll be fine. Not many tips really the Best thing to do is just make sure you rest as much as you can, will be sore for a bit. Hope all goes well.
Hi I'm 25 and had my first op last year. It's a pain with uni but have you spoken to them? There might be something they can do to help? I had the option to take one of my exams during the retake period in the summer to allow me to recover? So that might be an option if it's going to interrupt your exams?
I found peppermint tea really useful after op as it helps with gas related shoulder pain and was soothing too! Rest up as much as you can after, it will help you recover quicker in the long run! And make sure you ask any questions that you have to try and put your mind at ease! I honestly didn't find it took bad, although I know people's experiences are different!
Good luck with it, although I'm sure you will be fine. Look after yourself x
Hi I'm 24 and had my op 2 weeks ago. You'll be fine!
I took 5 days off work to rest up so spent the time catching up on sleep and some good tv box sets! You'll be up and back to normal in no time. I was walking about slowly the next day but got tired quickly.
I'm 25 and due a lap soon. I don't even know the date yet and I'm very nervous so please know you're not alone x
I'm 18 and I had my first lap last month! I'd make sure you have someone to help you move around for the first couple of days afterwards, but how long it takes to recover depends on how much work they do! Good luck xx
