Has it come back so soon?? Hello ladies. I had my first lap on the 14th of April. It's been 5 weeks and I don't feel any different.

My lower back pain is still very much there and all the rest of the pain as well caused by endo. I am so fed up. Any advice for me please? Thank you very much in advance. X

Hi, i had my first lap mid March and despite having a fair bit done, was still having the same daily pain. Am now on the mini pill and Amitriptyline daily and am slowly starting to feel normal again - only on some days - but progress. What did you have done on your lap and what are you taking for endo? I know exactly how you feel as I expected the surgery to make my pain go away and was SO depressed when it didn't. x

Hi mitch,

I had it on my pouch of Douglas and ovaries. It's aching so much. I get bad lower back pain, vaginal pain and my legs ache a lot as well. It's extremely unbearable and upsetting.

I had a lot of pain too after surgery, thought it hadnt worked! may sound strange but I completed gentle pilates exercises to stretch my back and pelvis and although it was a bit sore it actually really helped the horrible deep ache. One exercise was knee rolling so lying on back knees bent and slowly lower to one side, can even get someone to help support your legs (The more you don't move the more back pain you can have) The pain went away for me eventually, I now do pilates every other day at home. The scar tissue can bind everything down so its really important to move and stretch gently, we do it for ortho surgery to ensure scar tissue doesn't bind everything down so no idea why it's not done more for abdominal!

Hi :) I had my surgery on the 22nd April and every day since has been a nightmare...In fact, I'd say my symptoms are worse than before my lap as I have pain and bloating every day. I still haven't been back to see my consultant, so I don't know whether to be worried or not. Knowing someone else has experienced this too has made me feel less crazy - it feels like my surgery was completely pointless!! Hope you find some relief and some answers x

Hi Stealth 19,

I have been feeling exactly the same as you and I am supposed to be feeling better now (according) to the doctors. Unfortunately, I can't feel any different. It's very annoying because no one understands either. I start thinking they must think am playing on it and trying to get sympathy or something but it's all really there for real. So please don't think you are going crazy. Only we know how it feels. Make sure you have as much rest as possible. Take care. Xx

Hi guys I feel in a very similar position too. I had my lap 3 weeks ago and pain is just as bad as before :( I'm hoping that it is still early days and may still improve. Poppy56 I'm going to try your exercise :).

Trip 21 I suffered with endo for 11 years four lap surgeries a hysterectomy and 4 different doctors and still nothing... I was like you not really knowing what to do anymore it almost felt like no one would ever be able to help... I didn't give up tho right after my hysterectomy I started feeling the pain as soon as I was pain free from the surgery I then went to the er and they pretty much told me they could do nothing to help only refer me to a pain management clinic which I said no I didn't want to be on pain meds for the rest of my life... I was on a mission to find someone that could help I finally found a lady obgyn in my city that would take a look... Took me a month to get in to see her she wanted all ct scan and ultrasound I had since it started... She did a ultrasound and said that it was in the lining of my stomach no one ever thought to look up when they did all those lap surgeries... When as he went in she thought it was a small spot that she would be removing 3 x3 cm said it would take @45 mins to get the surgery done by lap well almost 5 hrs later I came out of surgery they removed 16 inches across and 6 inches up and down it was in the lining and the muscle... I have now been pain free for 8 months so never give up hope my doctor said she had never seen someone with so much endo... So I'm living proof that there is a way besides pain killers to live a normal life.. just keep looking till sometime helps. Xoxo
