Hello ladies hope the sunny weather has helped your mojos:)? A year ago I had a hysterectomy and went straight onto HRT. My question is has anyone gained weight with similarity. My stomach especially the waistlineis beginning to resemble a Sumo Wrestler. I have just bagged up a load of my favourite summer skirts because I cannt do them up! :(( I'm dieting and Spinning but it's so stubborn. Ive always been a little overweight but when trying to shift it it would usually go. Is it harder to shift post op and having HRT or am I doing it wrong? Perhaps it's the sneaky glass of wine that pops into my hand;). Anyway it's a minor prob compared to the endo battle that we have to contend with but just wondered if anyone can relate. Thanks girls have a good day . J xx

Middle age spread!!! Grrrrrrr.....
Hiya....can completely understand where your coming from,I had to pack away a lot of clothes myself and had to buy a new wardrobe of comfy bottoms and baggy tops....its so frustrating and Im sure your not doing anything wrong and even though each and everyone of us react differently to treatment I also gained over 2 stone in weight over the last 6months and it seems to be just on my waistline...I've always been a size 8 due to a thyroid problem as well as having a high metabolism and after each surgery I always went back to my normal size within weeks,my consultant has said its more than likely due to my prostap injections as well as my hrt so I decided the best thing to do was to pack away the clothes that no longer fit as I use to get so upset and desperate to wear them again so when I go to my wardrobe now I have plenty of choice and just accepted that this is how my body is at the moment.....I also found it helped to go shopping for new clothes and over the last 3months have been buying something each week and finally have plenty of choice and by buying the baggy style tops my tummy isnt an issue anymore....had so many people holding doors for me or offering up their seat as they assumed I was pregnant due to my tummy....as for your glass of wine Im sure its not the cause and nor would I give it up....endometriosis is a very cruel disease and has such a huge impact on our lives, both psycholgically and physically and the main thing is to look after yourself and do whats best for you....best of luck xx
Hi Cuddlybear, Thanks for the go ahead with the wine lol , life would be miserable without!
Thanku I will, and guess what I'm sat with glass in hand lol x don't know what's happening with my posts as only half of it prints so apologies if a bit short. Anyway got the Ab cruncher down from loft now so a little and often. Still a little sore in there from all the ops guess Endo will forever leave a reminder of its distruction. :(( Hope you're having a good day hugs J x
Hmmm my daughter still had a stash of Easter eggs, there's a thought!!
