Endometrial implants, not necessarily endometriosis?

Hi everyone. I'm soooooooo confused. After my first lap, the consultant who was in on the op (but did not perform it) said that they found half a dozen implants which they managed to remove. She said I had stage 2 endo. Yesterday at my follow up appointment, my consultant (who performed the op) said that they found the implants and removed them but that doesn't mean I have endo. She still thinks that IBS was causing my symptoms, even though a lot of them are now gone. I feel utter despair at this. We all know what it feels like not to be believed, but to not be believed even after it's been found just feels like the rug has been pulled from under me. Has anyone else been told anything similar?xx
