I'm due to have my second lap in 2 weeks. I have endo in my pod and blocked Fallopian tubes, my consultant (after examination) thinks I have adenomyosis too. I'm constantly in pain on a daily basis, bloated, back pain, hips, moods up and down, periods are not heavy but last 10 plus days, everything is an effort. Are these all the signs of adenomyosis ??? . I'm having radical excision and given consent to a hysterectomy if he feels this necessary to be done.

I have adenomyosis which was diagnosed by an MRI scan. My adeno is the diffuse type.
The pain that I get from adenomyosis is mostly severe cramping starting about 9 days before my period starts. The cramping almost feels like contractions. The pain is felt just above my pubic bone and radiates to my back. I also get a lot of cramping after sex.
Before my mirena was inserted, I bled very heavily with large clots. I could sit on the toilet and the blood would just pour out. I had to wear tenna pads doubled up just so I could go to work. My periods would last anywhere from 6 - 10 days.
The pain I get from the endoneteiosis/ adhesions are like shooting pains. I get pain when I move my right leg out wards, deep in my pelvis. Also groin pain, radiating down my leg.
I have burning and stabbing pains around both ovaries. Up in my rectum and deep pain when I have sex. My Endo pains can happen anytime of the month but it's much more severe during my period.
I also have Endo on my ligaments and POD. I think this is what is causing my back pain as well as Endo irritating my sciaticac nerve.
My bowel is stuck and I get alternating constipation and diarrhoea. I get terrible bloating and it's painful to pass wind sometime. Sorry TMI !
I'm very lucky to have a supportive and informed GP. She helps me sought out pain relief and I'm also being referred to a pain clinic.

Similar really, my lady bits aches, and feels like I'm being stabbed around that area, I can be sitting there and suddenly wince as it comes from nowhere.
It hurts below my belly button deep inside.
I hurt around my middle, general tummy ache, hips and lower back. I get really tired really easy, but this does pass.
And the sex, well to be honest what's the point , hurts so much it's not really worth doing it. It's 24/7 for months now, driving me crazy, just want it to ease up for a few days before my op.

The tiredness is one of the worse aspects of having Endo. In my 20+ years of suffering, I've never experienced the degree of fatigue as I have had over that last few months.
I'm seeing my GP in a couple of weeks to ask her for some advice. I'm definitely not having GNRH as prescribed by the hospital doctor. I'm not sure if I should wait six months and see how the mirena goes or ask to be referred for a second opinion now.
How are you feeling about your surgery?

Mixed feelings. Can't wait but pooing my pants at the same time. I know I don't have a choice, can't carry on like this. The thought of doing anything like shopping, holidays and any kind of travelling, daily stuff is just a no no at the moment (for the past 5 months). I hoping for some kind of life back .

I hope you still receive this post even though it's two years ago . I am 42 and have just out of the blue started to get awful pain in my groin and tummy area I went to a and e and they kept me in for 4 days controlling the pain (let me out Xmas eve) it is suspected endo . The pain is constant even through the pain killers and like you I can't go shopping , plan any nights out holidays etc X I have three kids I am struggling to do everybdaybhings with them . I am seeing a gynaelcology next week who has said possible lasporoscopy needed.
Does this sound like there pain you have ? I could doc out my ovaries , how is your pain now ? And is your pain constantly their 24/7?
