Hi there.

They may be able to cut out/burn away some of the endo if they see it, but it wont be a cure. You may be pain free for weeks, months, years, but the problem with endo is it grows back. Sorry it not what you probably wanted to hear.

Unfortunately painful sex is another symptom of endo and is another aspect of our life we have to adjust both physically and mentally due to this chronic disease. Sorry to hear you are suffering with this and the other pains. I hope the lap does offer you some time free from it all.

Sorry I have not been much help. But I hope what I have said has been of use. x

You are more than welcome. Glad I could be of some help. Yeh it is going to be a tough long journey I'm sorry to say. One little ray of light in this chaos that is endo, is that you know you have this site and the support/understanding of us on here. Hope you are having as much of a pain free day as possible x

Just had my first lap and they managed to burn away everything they found. I've felt some relief straight away but am aware that it's likely to come back. Good luck xx

I had my lap 2years ago and have stayed on the contraceptive pill since. Although the majority of my symptoms went and haven't returned I still have massive issues with painful sex. I have been attending physiotherapy for over a year with not a lot of joy. I am afraid to say that a lap doesn't always fix the problem. However I hope you are more successful than I was in recovery.
