Hiya Hinesm , I have not been diagnosed yet either but everything that has been going on with me for 2 years seems to point towards Endo, I have a gyne appointment on 20 march, what is a USS? I have been blood tested like 5 times, had STI checks, pregnancy tests and no answers. Except for one doctor said to me have you ever heard of Endo? And boom. all my symptoms explained x

Hi there, USS is ultra sound scan :) x what other symptoms do you have if u don't mind me asking ? X I get a lot of bowl problems, mainly gas, bloating, constipation and nausea. The doctors told me IBS when I went a while back about the colicy pains I get. I'm ovulating today I think and I've had the usual mid cycle bleed with brown clots (sorry tmi lol). I feel lightheaded/dizzy spells fatigued and cramping x

Oh i see.. I think i will have to get one of those to. Well where do i start? I have my period every 2 weeks for a week.. the whole month I have pain in abdomen, rectal pain as well as pain in vagina, also a heavy feeling sometimes. during period- pain is unbearable, lightheaded and dizzy, feel really hot and bothered. Pain during sex, passing stool and weeing. also suffer from depression and anxiety- its a longgggg list lol

I could have written that myself. I have all of above including depression and anxiety which is the worst around my period. I'd say I'm more irritable than depressed but I get a lot of anxiety. I have the vaginal pain/aching, pain when using tampons, headaches... I'm going to go on the pill for 3 months without a break and hopefully that will help, if not I'll have to consider having a laparoscopy xx

I did- I had endo in the 'pouch of Douglas'; the area between rectum and vagina. It went after endo was excised but I still have bowel issues but not as painful.

I get them at the most random times , all month long, I have had endo symptoms for two years and havent done anything about (mostly cause the doctors said there was nothing wrong with me) I find doctors rely on blood tests to much

I have had this for years. Bt only just been diagnosed with endo but not told me where or explained anything so I can only assume this has been endo for years but no one told me, always been put down to ibs but now I can see must have been symptoms for years, it is a horrible feeling isn't it like a dagger in your bottom, people don't get it when try to explain, I have found in past peppermint tea and massaging my lower back have helped a bit x

I have not been diagnosed yet, it has been mentioned by a doctor, I have been in and out of hospital constantly . blood tests, heart tests, everything you can think of, and i was sent home- telling me there is nothing wrong! thanks for your answer :)

Yes I get this too hun. I use a hot waterbottle to ease pain. But make sure you sit on a cushioned chair/sofa as I find harder ones increase pain xx

It is called proctalgia fugax when you get I in your bum but nor sure if it has a similar name for in your lady parts. I get it a lit and its usually when wind is passing through my bowel tubes and pushing past my womb as I have a retroflexed uterus that blocks it. Proctalgia fugax is caused by a muscle spasm in the anus a but like cramp but because the muscles are already tight, it hurts. If you push out of your bum like you want to pass wind or have a poo then it usually helps. Everyone I know gets it but they have it for a few seconds and it stops whereas I can get it for 5 mins non stop. I dont know what treatment there is for it Theresa I haven't been able to be referred to another gynae yet so still waiting to be discharges from the last one.

Good luck in getting diagnosed those of you that aren't and to the others, I'd say next appointment, ask your gynae what it is.

Hi yes I had this and never knew what was causing it. I have had a laparoscopy last week and I had endometriosis in various places including pouch of Douglas.

Hi yes I had that. It can be a symptom of endo in what is called the Pouch of Douglas (space between rectum and vagina). Causes painful sex etc amongst other things. It could also be adhesions or something different so best to get checked out by a specialist. Best to make sure you are referred to a really good specialist endo consultant surgeon and steer clear of being referred to a general gynae, as there is such a wide difference in their experience and surgical skills relating to endo varying fro the down right ridiculous where it is clear they could have more knowledge had they read up on some of the top consultant's websites (like we do) and on to those that are reasonable. I have had no further problems after my op so it is important to see a good specialist Endo specialist consultant to start with.

All best wishes x
