My first zoladex injection is tomorrow an... - Endometriosis UK
My first zoladex injection is tomorrow and im so nervous. Is there any instant side effects? So scared please help :-(
Hi I had Zoladex 2 years ago but I didn't have much side effect in the first month.
My side effect was:
my migraine got worse (well mine was pretty bad to start with though), towards the end my bone felt a bit weak. I didn't get hot and sweaty at all maybe a little bit warmer than usual but I had it in spring time so I am not sure. Oh I put on weight which wasn't very nice.
I could bare these side effect (apart from migraines) as Zoladex took away the horrible severe pains after the second injection. I don't think there will be any instant side effects. Surely it will take some time to start working.
I hope it goes well tomorrow.
Take care.

Thank you. Im so glad I found this page for support as had none for twoyears. Will keep posposted on how it goes xxx
Hi. Try not to panic. We all read too much and can frighten ourselves with the information. I'm on week 7 and have had hot flushes and tiredness but nothing you can't handle. Try to eat really healthily, exercise and drink lots of water. It seems to be helping me. Good luck.
Thank you for your reassurance. Strangly im alot calmer this morning. Thanks for the support. Come lunch time and it will be over
Hi, I worried about the exact same thing! Wondered if I would walk out of the gynae's office with instant side effects. I didn't! I did however have my very first (and only) migraine that started after about 3 days. I didn't have another one but did suffer from headaches after each injection for the first few months. The zoladex did work for me and I didn't suffer from too many side effects until about month 4 - just no endo pain which was a relief. Hope yr injection goes ok this lunchtime. X
Thanks. Had injection. It stung and still does but its over with. Im tender. Is this normal? X
Are you having the monthly injection?
Yeah having the monthly ones
Good to read all this as I'm going for my first injection on Thursday. lets keep chatting.
Hope you are doing ok - I'm sure the sting is just reaction to the implant.
Hope you feel better soon - I am just looking forward to being out of pain X
Hi glad it us over for this month for you. Yes I think it is normal to feel a bit tender where the little pellet goes under your skin. I found that depending on who did the injection made a difference- I had a couple where it was almost painless and others were a bit more uncomfortable for a day or so. See how you are in another day , hopefully it will calm down. Best wishes.
Thank you
