Sorry you're having a bad time - pain is hard to handle some days isn't it? Are you on any treatment?

At the moment I just have the coil and 'pain killers'. I was on Norethisterone but the side affects are horrendous. I've been sent to a Joint Pain Clinic which isn't until May for an injection to stop the pain but my Gynae wont give me answers as to why I bleed continually and why the pain wont cease. It is hard to handle yes. I just feel like I'm being slapped in the face continually. Most days I'm as hard as nails but I do have patches where I just can't pick myself up. How are you today? Are you on anything?

Digger can pls you tell me what were your side effects from the norethisterone? My gyno wrote me a script but I'm hesitant to go there.

Hey! Definitely try it. It stopped my bleeding after three days. The first time I used it was before Christmas. The first few weeks were brill! After three weeks I noticed that the pain had increased, and I felt I needed to bleed. Sounds odd but I had swollen up and I felt I needed a loss. I had hit flushes,major night sweats, headaches afyer five weeks, rogue dark facial hair, and half a stone of weight gained. Second time I tried it I lasted two weeks before stopping it. Both times I came on four days after stopping it. I admit that it really helped my bleeding but the side effects made me miserable, I felt a frump and at 25 havin hot flushes is not a good look. My advise would be to try it, even if its just once to say that you have given it a go. You never know, it may suit you id you've any questions then drop me a message and I'll happily chat

Hi girls

I hope you're doing ok - I had norethisterone last June - it stopped the bleeding which was what I needed at the time, no side effects.

I've since had surgery to take ovary & cyst, now on prostap for 5 weeks... no side effects worth noting but no relief do far, also looks like I have adenomyosis. Have any of you had prostap?
