So many women like me and I thought I was... - Endometriosis UK
So many women like me and I thought I was on my own
Not heard of this? Where can I find details? Is it actress the UK or just in certain areas.x
It's on the endouk main website under events , I really want to do a skydive to raise money and awareness as well but don't think my health is up to it at the min :0( x
I would highly recommend that when you are feeling up to it that you do the skydive. I managed to do it, despite the pain, and it was the best 3 minutes of my life! So much fun and was able to raise a lot of money too. xx
Thanks I'll check it out. Wow you're brave wanting to do a skydive! Hehe. I'm to chicken for that. I have my next op in April so I'm thinking I may manage a run/walk in July. Wouldn't be able to at the minute. In too much pain x
Me too. I am in bed with a hot water bottle and high on painkillers today. It is so debilitating and I feel like it is such a taboo subject that not many people know about. I had a look at the race and it is in London, unfortunately that is a bit far for me but it has got me thinking about maybe trying to set something up nearer to home to raise awareness. Best of luck if you go for it, would love to hear how you get on.xxx
I was training for this last year and ended up rupturing my Achilles tendon and go stuck in a ridiculous boot brace and walking with a crutch for 3 months. I really want to do it this year, but now a bit scared that I will hurt my ankle again. I am sure it will be fine. Just spent the best part of the last 18 months, too and fro from the hospital xx
Hi Bez76, could you walk it instead of running? I know it will take a little longer, but it should help reduce the risk of injuring yourself again too! xx
