How long do i wait to go on Holiday after a hysterectomy

Im expexting to be told im having a hysterectomy normally wait 12 weeks b4 op but am goin away 6may. How long do you have to wait 2 travel after operation.

It depends what you are doing on your holiday.

If it is an active holiday - lots of walking sightseeing and carrying your own bags then you could need a bit longer to recover before adventuring off.

But if you have someone with you to carry heavy bags, and you are not active and will be lying on a beach or gently swimming in the sea, and not sitting on a plane for too long then 3 or 4 weeks should be enough.

Just ake sure your skin wounds are healed up, you have enough pain relief and decent insurance.

The airlines aill normally not let you fly after major surgery for a few days, but as you will have longer than that anyway, it really does come down to how much activity you will be expected to do on the holiday, and what you can cope with without having a set back.
