I had my second laparoscopy on the 15th of December and over the past couple of days I have been bleeding; presumably my first period after my lap. (My periods have become increasingly unpredictable). I am currently in excruciating pain radiating through my lower back and lower abdomen. I don't remember it being this painful after my first lap. I was just wondering whether anyone could share their experiences or offer any advice?
Thanks in advance and I hope that everyone's having a happy and pain free new year x

Firstly I hope you are taking things easy whilst you recover from your lap. I am sure it has been said before but just because on the outside you can only see small incisions dont forget the surgeon has done a lot of work on the inside. This takes time to get back to normal and together with a first period post-lap could be the reason you are feeling so much pain.
Please try not to do too much except rest with a hot water bottle for company and I hope your pain decreases as you continue your recovery.
I am just out of hospital on Wednesday 8th Jan from my second lap. I'm in the same boat myself. I'm very sore lower back an lower abdomen the pain is unbearable. I got the bowl separated from my womb, bladder pined up, endo removed and adhesions removed. I'm sorry I don't know what to do as I don't know what to take or do myself. I'm also bleeding an period due to so I am all mixed up. I'm just looming for advice too.
Hope your feeling better soon an get sorted. Wish u a speedy recovery. X
