Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone is on the injections. Ive just had my 3rd one. I feel so bad.Does it get better as months go on.

My mood is very low and the flushes are unreal. Im waking up every night in hot and cold sweats. Im loosing weight as well..im thinking of stopping. Any advice?

It is great for pain relief if you can grit your teeth and put up with the horrible side affects . I had a horrendous first month on it as my migrants seem to be cyclic so the initial increase in oestrogen meant I was in a right state. Just finished my 6 month course & although I moan about it am dreading the pain returning . The injections meant I could function.Perservere for a bit longer if you can then if it's not for you fair enough . Does get worse before it gets better which no one told me. This forum did ! X

I totally agree with juebaloo. It is horrible at first but it does settle down and for me it ended up being the best 6 months of my life - no pain, no fatigue etc. And as for the weight loss, it could be that you are worrying so much about the side effects of the injection and this is causing you not to eat properly. Stick with it dear, you'll be glad you did. x

Did your doc offer you ad back hrt to relieve some of the menopause symptoms as the sweats and flushes? I highly recommend asking for it if you aren't on it. It helped tremendously with the flushes and the moods and slightly with the bone pain. Saying that, I still have had 5 months of grief on this stuff and one month to go. My weight suddenly stacked on 5 months into it. I too lost weight in the beginning. x

Hi there no hrt offered. I will speak to her...its so so bad esp at night . I havent haf a full nights sleep in over a year between pain and sweats..cant eat have lost over 15 pounds. Thanks for advice x

Hi I had 2 treatments of Zoladex, 1 last year which was the best 6mths of my life, I know the side effects were some times really bad (like hot flushes, sweats & in my case a temper) but to have no bleeding or hardly any cramp or pain was Heaven. But I had to go back on it this yr again, just finished @ the start of Sept it was completely different I had bleeding during my treatment very bad cramps & I didn't really notice any benefit this last time. In the last mth of treatment I was took into Hospital to get the Mirena coil put in, but this was the worse thing I have done, because since I got it in I have been in & out of Hospital very unwell, @ the time I got the Coil put in I got my Cyst drained that was @ the end of Sept, But 1 mth later I was taken in to Hospital with very high CPR count (it was over 800) a high Temp & really bad pain in my side. When Doc came to see me & give me the once over I was told that I would have to stay until they got my levels down & also the Cyst that was Drained was back to the size of 7.2cm X 6.5cm. So the jest of it is the 1st time on Zoladex was great but I got no Benefit the second time round. Hope this Helps.. Take-care. Xx
