Had lap and had Endo removed, also had ablation 2 months ago now, had a very small amount of blood yesterday, does this mean it hasn't stopped my periods from coming.

Anyone had an endometrial ablation , how long until I know if it has worked.
I had an ablation over 3 1/2 years ago I have always had periods since having it although at first pain free and very light. They stayed that way for nearly 3 years pain returned almost a year ago but periods still light just found out my pain is due to endo and adenmyosis. Some people have no periods after having ablation and no further problems other s have years and years before having problems
I had an ablation 2 years ago. My periods never stopped, they just became a bit lighter and I did not have clots anymore. I was told that sometimes some of the endometrium is missed during the procedure or it can grow back. Unfortunately, after a year my heavy periods and clots came back with a vengeance! I decided against having a second ablation and I am now on medication to stop my periods instead. XXXX
I was told if it's been successful you can have no bleeding from the very start, or it is common to have 1-2 more periods with moderate to light bleeding (sort of clearing things out if you know what I mean) which will over time lighten to little or nothing. Unfortunately for me it never did either and I continued with heavy bleeds and clots at which point the docs said it had failed. So I'd say give yourself a couple of months and see how things settle and if you're still concerned go see your doctor. Good luck x
