I would suggest you call the gynae ward and ask them to tell you what the procedure is that you are having and make sure you know exactly what is planned. You will have to sign a consent form, and how can you consent to something you have no idea about?

Call the hosp tomorrow, get the information and do your homework on the internet.

If it is open surgery, recovery is painful and takes months and you do need to prepare home life before you have the op as you won't be able to do much afterwards.
