Hi ladies

Hope your all as pain free as possible, this disease is really getting me down at the minute. I can't remember the last night I actually slept more than a couple of hours

Can anyone recommend anything to help e relax to get some sleep or something I could take to ease my body?

Any advice greatly appreciated xx

no sleep is horrible and makes the pain harder to bear :(

you can try no caffine after 7, a nice warm bath with horlicks about 8 (but not too hot or it makes the blood pump to your womb)

i then lie in bed and read a boring book and it does the trick. herbal nightol is good to. good luck getting some sleep!!

i started amitriptyline a few weeks ago, and i now get a bit more sleep than i did, i'm on low dose, but think it makes me very sleepy in the afternoons too - might be worth asking your doc for something xx

I'm only newly diagnosed but would suggest no caffeine . Also lavender oil is very good . Another product I find helpful is Badger Balm Sleep Balm. You can get it in boots.

Lavender Water- big bottles of it- are cheap at Boots the chemists.

Dab some on clothes or pillow. Much cheaper than lavender oil.

they do rose water too. I've still got a bottle of the lavender from about 10 years ago.

You don't need much of it to give off a relaxing lavender pong.

I hear you girl. I never sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. the only thing i can suggest is trying to keep a routine and not be tempted to sleep longer (if you are lucky enough for this to be an option) to make up for the lost time in the night. i always end up doing this and a long period of interrupted sleep often feels worse. i just tend to snuggle up with a hot water bottle. even when its hot i just have the fan on too. you could try playing some relaxing music on quiet when you are trying to sleep. something else which i did and have found relaxing was to get some fish. sounds crazy but their tank is at the end of my bed and so when i cant sleep i watch them swimming around. its actually very relaxing. xxx
