So far no cause has been found. We r lost. Dhe suffers daily and hasn't been able to attend school for a year now, we keep getting fobbed off with IBS. The pain she experiences is excruciating, I can't make them understand. Something is being missed. She has undigested food in her diarrhoea, she is cold all the time and tired, barely eats but not losing weight. She constantly feels nauseous. And her MH is taking a hit now to. We are waiting for an mri, im praying this finds a cause. Its so hard to see her suffer so much and not be able to help her.

Help
Sounds like you are both going through horrible time. Has she been checked for coeliac disease? (Intolerance to wheat - which is in many foods.) Take a look at the website - coeliac.org.uk/home/
Allergies can be a problem or intolerance for instance to milk. If the MRI doesn't show up anything significant ask for a referral for allergies. Unfortunately there aren't enough Allergists. Your GP may be able to arrange a basic skin test. It is possible to have tests doen privately the best are the blood tests such as RAST.
She can try cutting out wheat and seeing if it helps, but will need to know what products contain wheat / gluten. Ditto for milk which is usually and intolerance rather than an allergy. Some people don't produce the enzyme as they get older needed to break it down and to be digested. Try only one at a time as otherwise it can be confusiing. There is a book called The Allergy Bible by Professor Brostoff and a medical journalist which explains all about the differences, diagnosis and treatment.
Hope that she soon finds the correct diagnosis. Unfortunately most doctors training on diet, allergies etc is minimal. IBS is often diagnosed when the cause if alllergies or problems with digestion.
Frequent bowel movements is a condition in which a person defecates more often than usual. There are many possible causes, including eating spoiled food, bacterial infection and side effects of a medication. Treatment is usually with an over-the-counter. my.clevelandclinic.org/heal...
