Hello Jennifer, Thank you for posting today regarding Enalapril. This drug is an angiotensin converting enzyme ACE inhibitor for short. Not drinking enough water can have an effect as well as this drug has a side effect (1% in 10) of increasing blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine in the blood.

If you have any serious concerns why not speak to your Pharmacist, or Consultant/Health professional. Do you have a specialist renal nurse who is attached to your Consultant by any chance. They would be able to advise you as they are fully aware of your medical history.

Have any of our members experienced a similar problem please? and can you help Jennifer?

Many thanks,

MAS Nurse & Moderator.
