Can you sleep well while on peritoneal dialysis, or does it keep you up at night. Is it painful?

HI Pat,

Ask this question on this site. There are many people who are on PD and could answer your questions.

Hi, I have been on PD since Jan 19. Once my catheter op discomfort ended, I was able to sleep normally. I only have 3 fluid exchanges per day, and since being on PD, my egfr has risen from 11 to 13. I tried the overnight machine but found it painful, as my internal tube has moved out of position.

I have no pains with PD except a small discomfort at the end of the fluid exchange. I am generally feeling well, but am still very tired. I am happy with my decision to opt for PD.
