Link for fruits and vegetables low in potassium. Check with your dietitian or Doctor for further guidance.

Every list that I have seen does not include carrots as high potassium.

I looked on Davita and it shows 1 carrot has 230mg and 1 cup shredded carrots has 390 of potassium. I had not seen this before either. On my renal diet shows can have 1/2 cup of carrots with no indicator to avoid. Does not show shredded. Best to check with your dietitian or Doctor.

I have read posts on this forum that have noted that Kidney Buzz is not a reliable source. I would like people who have stated this to give background for these posts. I have been disregarding what Kidney Buzz says as a result, but I do not know the reason for the posts. Could anyone enlighten us?

Look like there is a difference between raw and cooked carrots.

Good point. That could be the difference.
