Been diagnosed with ckd 3a since last year with gfr 59 with creatinine level at 132. Quite recently i noticed when i stand idle for long, my feet swells mildly. But now the sole of my right feet hurts badly mostly in the mornings when i wake up. It normally gets better when i walk on it for a while. I am due to retest my gfr in December. Is anyone here having similar foot hurting conditions or this has nothing to do with ckd 3a. I'm 38, male and African. How often should i check my gfr level? I'm worried.

Hi have ckd3 gfr 34 creatinine 136.
This year I have had aching shoulders, feet and fingers, likewise gp sent me for xrays, no probs, says it is old age. Don't know what to think.
just keep exercising and eating heathily.
Have become to realise life is what we make it. Enjoy. X
Hi have stage 3 gfr between 45 an 50. I see a kidney doctor once a year. I have requested extra tests from my gp before for her but also vitam d levels.
I'm not sure if GFR has anything to do with hurting feet. I know my legs and feet used to ache all the time and feel heavy. I know when going through my transplant classes, they stress exercise to keep your legs strong, and that some people have a hard time doing that because of their legs and feet. So I'm guessing maybe it does effect it somehow but not sure. I just keep on walking a mile a day. It seems to help. You are in my prayers. God can do anything!
Due to me having CKD stage 4 I do find that my feet can swell especially if I drink to much fluid. If my feet swell when I am wearing my formal work shoes then I get quite a bit of pain but at you stage I would not expect feet pain to be related to CKD.
I have stage 3 PKD, it runs in my family and I also get the slightly swelling feet after standing for long periods but I've never heard of the soar feet. The pain in your feet sounds like plantar fasciitis. Ask your doctor about it. I'm sure there is something they can do about that. I know it's hard not to worry but try not to. Stress and worry are the worst things for your body and this disease. Try to stay positive, it's amazing what it can do for an illness. Good luck with everything
