The sensor from 12-14-2021 didn't last its 10 days. It went for almost 6 days, but on the 6th day, it was having a lot of issues. I had been woken up a few times with alarms and music being played on the receiver because the system thought I was dropping-- even after the first early morning snack before going back to sleep. This was around 4 am. The next few times the alarms went off was because of sensor error. I called the Tech. Support after needing to change sensors twice because the first new sensor that needed to be inserted wouldn't come out when I tried to insert it. The second one is working nicely, but I'm not sure if it'll go its full 10 days, yet. If anything changes between today and the day it is supposed to be removed, I will let you all know.
The Tech. Rep. on the phone said I was getting 2 free sensors and they both should be here later today. I'm hoping those will work better than the last ones I had to call about and won't cause any sleep issues/more testing than usual to be done.
Stay tuned for more updates to come and watch this page.

Oh gosh Leah, the improvement was very short lived! Hope you receive your two replacements quickly. I should think Tech Support feel quite embarrassed when it's you getting in touch again. Hope the replacements will do better and especially that you don't get any sleep issues caused by faults!
The new sensors came today after having lunch. They are supposed to be used by March next year, Sue, but I don’t know how they have the same date for the boxes. I definitely do hope they work better.😀👍👍
Around 1am today, the receiver went off and started playing music. Not sure what happened since I saw the number and it was 252->. Not sure why it would alarm if it wasn’t even under 100 mg/dl.
What a farce! Are you still using the Dexcom 6? I've has an email from Dexcom advertising a new GlucoRx Aidex blood sugar monitoring system. It looks good but I'm not sure if it will work on my old Samsung Galaxy S mini mobile phone. It uses blue tooth to send readings every 5 minutes to the app.
Sorry for the delay in repying. My GP won't supply nor advice about getting a continuous monitoring system because I cannot get it on the NHS. The cost to buy is very expensive for me due to not being able to work because of other illnesses. Your posts about the Dexcom 6 have helped me to decide not to buy a Dexcom 6, after all, it's so expensive it has to work without faults for it to be viable for me.
