Bad Late Night/Early Morning: DEXCOM

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay in typing this up, but I didn't want to do it at 12/12:30 am when I had to insert a new sensor. You will understand after reading the entire posting.

After so many times yesterday during the day and part of the night hours, I had to change the sensor since the readings kept going in and out and there was too many alarms going off. Some of the alarms were because the system thought I was out of range, but I had put the receiver where it always is when I'm sleeping every night. The other issue was, when it said I had been out of range, the timing of it to come back was adding up to be almost 6.5 hours since the morning yesterday. So, when I call and request a free new sensor to be sent to me, I will bring it up about the odd amount of time added up since almost 7:30 am yesterday. I will also bring up a new glitch in the system that happened this morning. The app for the phone said I was having lost signal, but on the receiver I had numbers showing. Something doesn't seem right to me about that one.

More news to come soon. Stay safe, happy and healthy! :-)

Hey poor you Leah, your app and your sensor don’t seem to be connecting properly as these alarms are hard work especially past midnight when you want to be in dream land. So I am sorry I hope that DEXCOM help you sort it out.

Good luck with the new one and I hope that you sleep well tonight. 🙏😀

Thank you for that one. I had a long talk with the Tech Team and they are sending me a free new sensor. They also helped figure out how to get my readings sent to my parents even when the phone(s) are off at night. This took most of the morning to deal with, but I finally got things up and running.

I hope to get a better night's sleep tonight. The only alarms I want to be hearing if they go off before 6:30 am is that I need to test because I'm running low. Will let you and everyone else know more soon.

Stay safe and happy! :-)
