Medicated induced diabetes

GlutenLadYorkshire profile image

Last year my neurologist prescribed me with a drug called olanzapine this caused me diabetes that caused me to go into a hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state I was put onto insulin and decided to look into the effects of olanzapine, one of the rarer symptoms can cause diabetes, my blood sugars returned to normal after disconnecting the drug. Has anyone had similar experience? Also due to me being on insulin I had my hgv licence revoked, I need to try and reapply for it as it is my vocation.
