Diagnosed diabetic in pregnancy

I m 6week pregnant and diagnosed diabetic.sugar level on fasting 157

You seem to be sufferring from Gestational diabetes !

Please consult your physician . May be you need to undergo a blood test for insulin resistance !

Donot worry as it is very common during pregnancy which goes away after delivery in most cases . However You need to take treatment as per your doctors advice now..there are some medicines for lowering blood glucose during pregnancy.

I suggest please don't experiment with any alternate treatment as per advice from friends since it may have side effects .

Did you ever got checked for diabetes before pregnancy? It's not gestational diabetes. But a preexisting one.GD usually develop / detected somewhere around 20 weeks. Go for lchf and can start metformin as per the advice of your doctor. Make sure that you don't get hypos and also make sure that there is no hyperglycemia too.
