Welcome to the group. What did your doctor say about the blotches? Are you being given cream? Do you have pain near the blotches on the feet?

Please check out the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation. The website is drwf.org.uk/diabetes-leaflets

The leaflets are free. Please check out the Diabetes and how it effects my feet. It can be downloaded, listened to and read.

Hope this helps.

Hi norahbpat. I'm so sorry to hear you are experiencing these things. They all sound like the classic symptoms of diabetes. The raised levels of glucose in your bloodstream are making you more prone to infections like the skin blotching and often thrush for ladies. You will be going to the loo lots because, presumably you are drinking a lot more water. This is because your body is trying to flush out the excess glucose. These raised levels of glucose and water intake can affect your vision too, as the shape of the eyeball changes when it because flushed with fluid.

Are you already on medication? Have you been diagnosed as Type 1 or Type 2?

I hope the doctor and nurse have been able to helps since you posted here and you are feeling much better.

Let us know how you are getting on.
