I am diabetic for more than 15 years. I used to walk daily for more than 40 minuets.I take tablets daily as per the advice of the doctor.. But belly is formed for the last one year. What i do to reduce the belly.

The best,fastest,safest,way to reduce paunch is to do kapalbhati for 20 minutes in PADMASAN or ARDHPADMASAN.
I was also under myth that due to advanced age my body permits minimum and maximum exercise of walking. This myth shattered when I learnt in a TV Program that any ailment is due to the sins committed by whole body and it is immoral to punish only legs. Further whole weight falls on poor legs to shed extra fab and naturally ineffective result. Luckily I viewed DD Sports "Sahaja Yoga" program and tried slowly and steadily bending legs, hands backwards (GOMUKHA AASAN) and now I am satisfactorily successful.
As such mere walking is not enough and it should be coupled with and supplemented by Praanayams, Yoga, small freehand exercises. Altogether you may limit to 30 to 60 minutes a day and 5 days a week.
I agree with certain yogic practices suggested in earlier comments but I advise you do or practice them steadily as if you are ready to listen your body so that your body listens to you and more importantly remember what Bernard Shaw said "Expect the unexpected -- Hope for the best but prepare for worst" that was earlier spelt in Gita "NISHKAMA KARMA"
very apt reply. very informative. I have been practicing yoga and pranayama along with walking for years...and it has benefited me immensely.
