Though I am a doctor of other domain.I did not care at the onset.for I believed on my health. gynae&obst. is laborious which I tackled till past middle-age,Then I was feeling tired.tested found high level. Then looked back my life-style.I discovered that I was careless about my calory intake.Took occasional sweats and worked.Plus high calory meals&snaks.During childhood.parents insisted to take still more, high carbs, fat &proteins.Though I exercised of various typse, devoted much to my studies,it was not enough to burn up all the calories. Moreover I whipped my B-cells of pancreas by taking good amounts of sweets, having 100% glycaemic index.I had no familial history. This taught me that from new- borns onwards parents should guide dieting till their adulthood.later one by himself, which is the keystone to be healthy, even person having family-history may escape.

To control the diabetes, my honest advise is control your temper and anxious.

today, people get tension easily, and invite the health problem too easily.

I am of 56 years, i don't have diabetics nor pressure. The only thing i do, i eat less, and i keep cool.

please try the same and tell me how you feel. The opposite i find with wife, she have diabetes and pressure and i see her always with short tempered or anxious.

Being cool to everything is godly trait. The stress in humans come from daily life like this.

1. A house wife has to prepare the kid to school before the school bus arrives, by bathing the child, dressing, preparation of brakefast, readying lunch box etc. A small event disturbs the schdule. The bus won't wait and the lady is up sets and faced with tension.

2. Your office going is disturbed because the bus arrived late. Boss don't understand.

3. Your son does not do good in his studies. U can't be cool unless u r a person with mounds of money.

There are so many issues daily which makes u nervous and builds ur tension.

And this causes ur diabetis.

I worked in PSU as engr34yrs and retired with no complications as you will not carry any work aftter your shift, have time to family extra. My father ,mother didnot have diabetic.Only during my second innings of work caused all tension and I gained diabetic.

Your statement is very right and I agree

I agree with Mr Reddy about his point of view. But one must realize that if we started taking all the domestic issue seriously we will be inviting disease to ourselves.. To make our child stand on his own leg, we must take this as a challenge and face it with a cool mind. One should take all these as sportingly and thus by doing so we will not be inviting diabetes. Hence Be happy and lead a tension free life.

Easier said than done. Any one in a stressful job , a banker, like me, though would like to keep cool, it would hardly be possible. However, if I am pushed by some creepy customers, before answering he/she, I would drink two/ three mouthful of water, count 1 to 10, and answer.

Dear Manian,

This is of course a very good suggestion. You rightly pointed out to keep cool and getting unnecessarily tensed. I will try to follow and will reply after doing this experiment on self. Thank you dear for suggestion.

My approach to deal with sugar level management is to burn calories to the extent we take meals etc. This becomes obvious when our weight remains the same i.e as per the body mass index. This is my experience of 11 years. I am fit at the age of 74. Can walk at a stretch for 10 Kms.

Madam! I welcome most part of your say on the subject. Though this may not be for you(you being a doctor yourself) I earnestly suggest to all my fellow sugar patients that please make eliment of hard work as part of your/out daily routine and this is apart from having regular excercises.

Thank you very much. I came to know about methi from an article from National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad.I used to take 25 gm of powdered medthi with water before luch and dinner every day for last 10 years. It has eliminated my stomach trouble completely.I am thankful to NIN.I am not taking the powder since last one year. However I will take methi and Aloeveera as per your suggestion.Thank you once again.
